6.1 Playing Images - Creating Image Sizes
With your LED sign size (stage size in pixels), you can create a large EXACT MATCH SIZE image...
Or...
Create lots of smaller images and position around your stage.
Resolution: The output resolution is 72dpi (Note: This is not the sign resolution).
How to create an image for a 550 pixel x 300 pixel LED sign.
1. Using Photoshop, CorelPaint, Paint etc, make a new file with a canvas size that is 550px x
300px @72 dpi.
This will match your example sign.
Note: All computer monitors, Television etc are generally 72dpi. This is the reason for creating artwork at 72dpi.
Your electronic sign will automatically compensate to reduce or enlarge the pixel ratio needed for the colour output
within the pixel region.
Examples:
LED Sign Pixel Pitch = 10mm (5.5 metres x 3 metres)
Your artwork file needs to be 550px x 300px @ 72dpi
LED Sign Pixel Pitch = 7.62mm (4.19 metres x 2.28 metres)
Your artwork file needs to be 550px x 300px @ 72dpi
Please refer to the inside label of your QS supplied sign for data info.
6.2 Playing Images - Static and Animated
You can use multiple images on a single stage by placing into position. You can also animate some images whilst
keeping others static (stationary still image)
