5. Playing Videos
Inserting a video into your advertising is easy with QS Super Player. You can also use sound via external speakers
for added impact.
To insert a Video file
Choose > Page > File Window > Add Video Files
Many Video Formats are available: AVI, MPEG, ASF, WM, RM and Flash SWF.
We recommend you create Flash Files, converted to AVI or WMV or MPEG.
QS Super Player has the ability to play *.SWF
To insert a Flash file
Choose > Page > File Window > Add Flash File
5.1 Playing Videos - Frames Per Second (FPS)
QS Super Player™ allows a high frame rate (FPS Frames Per
Second) between 20 and 70 for optimal playing, including up to 150fps for
specialised outputs.
Flash Files: 60 FPS (without video)
Flash Files: 30 FPS (with video)
AVI: 29.97 FPS
MPEG: 30 FPS
RM: 40 FPS
Streaming: 30 FPS
Splicing Video: Videos larger than 200mb can be split into two (2) files or
more and placed ina corresponding files. Splice your video and create a page for
each. The timeline should match the sequential frame for smooth playing.
Data Loss: If your LED sign is a reasonable distance from the cabling
connection point, some natural data loss may occur through the cable. When long
length cabling is required, please add a Splitter Transmission Box approximately
every 70-90 metres. (Optional)
5.2 Playing Videos - Playing PURE Black
Most LED signs do not output Pure Black. QS Super Player™ recommends
you create an under layer background color of #999999 (hex) Dark Grey to smooth
any natural black loss.
